I just received an email from Carla Traiser. She is a visionary about the prevention of homelessness in Flagler County. Below is her email. I firmly believe that now is the time to support the efforts of The Sheltering Tree. Winter is coming and soon The Sheltering Tree will be open. If you can help that would be great; if you are unable to perhaps you know someone that would be interested in volunteering.
Hello, All,
Do you believe it is almost Halloween!?!?
This message is being sent to everyone on my email list, and is especially important for the Representatives and new volunteers. There will be a Training/Instruction meeting on Sunday, October 18 at 6:30 to review past procedures and introduce new ones, recruiting and signing up team members, and establishing the phone network and chain of “what happens when and to whom” when it hits 40 degrees. Bring ideas for a smoother operation. Everyone is invited to come.
Attached is the Membership Application that we are asking anyone that wants to become a member of FCFAC to complete. It will give the volunteers voting rights, and help with communication. It is also required that we do some more solid bookkeeping of numbers of volunteers, etc, because we are now a 501(c)(3). Most grants ask for statistics of member numbers and guest numbers.
I am getting more and more geared up for this winter. We still need committee members for all committees and chairmen for Community Awareness and Membership, but so many things are coming together. Thank you all for the commitment that you have made.
Attached is the TEAM TASKS information sheet for you to become familiar with.
Questions? My number is 517-7305, and 1st UMC is 437-3258.
See you Sunday the 18th at 6:30.
