Four Winds Acupuncture

We  want to welcome Four Winds Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine as a new pick up location for Ormond Beach members.

Conveniently located at 115 East Granada Blvd, Suite 1 in Ormond Beach. Starting next Thursday (06/17/2010)Four Winds will be available to members to pick up their fresh organic produce.  Pick up time will be between 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm

I have to tell you that you are going to love the setting.  It was immediately noticeable upon my first visit, I felt the wonderful healing energy that Dr. Jean Caron and Crystal Maples have created in the space.  Your fresh organic produce will love the setting too.  The Prana/Qi from this location will add healing nourishment to the all ready nutrient dense fresh food.  I felt so wonderful after my short visit.  You can feel the subtle change in your energy when you are in an environment that promotes health and well being.

Additionally, Four Winds has a Herbal Pharmacy where Dr. Caron creates prescription for healing. I am already anticipating the benefits of this knowledge of Chinese Herbal Medicine.   Dr. Caron makes his own ointments, capsuled herbs or teapills.  While professionally training and with the experience  derived the discipline of his practice, Dr. Jean prescribes and dispenses Chinese Herbs that have pharmaceutical grade potency without the side effects. We are very fortunate to have someone trained in this field and with the skill only experience can develop.  I know I will take full advantage of this service.  Here is a link to their site about this service.

Acupuncture

Acupuncture is a uniquely effective part of Chinese medicine.  Utilizing tiny stainless steel needles, your acupuncturist stimulates specific “acupuncture points” to correct imbalances inside the body. This system of medicine uses your vital energy (Qi) flow, directing it along it’s pathways (meridians.) This enables the body to acheive long lasting positive effects by “teaching” it how to naturally heal itself.

Acupuncture is a safe and effective alternative to surgical procedures and medications and can treat anyone of any age and condition- even pregnant women or seriously ill patients. Results may be seen very quickly, in as little as 1 or 2 treatments, although chronic conditions may require a series of treatments.

Herbal Pharmacy

Chinese herbal medicine is the use of Chinese medicinals to create formulas based on the specific needs of the patient. Chinese medicinals are usually plant or mineral based products chosen in accordance with Traditional Chinese Medicine diagnosis and concepts.

At this clinic, we use mainly powdered herbs. These are previously decocted medicinals that we customize and formulate on site to ensure the accuracy of the formula. We may also perscribe capsuled herbs or teapills, depending on the need of each patient.

Only trained and licensed professionals of Traditional Chinese Medicine are able to prescribe and dispense Chinese Herbs, as they are pharmacuetical grade and extremely potent. They have limited side effects and your Herbal practitioner knows how to safely administer Chinese Medicinals, so they are safe for all types of people including pregnant women, children and those taking medications.

Most herbal formulas are perscribed at a dosage of 1 to 3 times a day for several months.
